Connecticut River Valley, New England

“Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world.” – John Muir

Project Description

This Gifted Tree Planting Project is planted along rivers that are part of the Connecticut River Watershed in the states of New Hampshire, Vermont, and New Hampshire, the New England region of the United States. The species of trees in this planting project include Willow and Dogwood trees.

The planting areas are places where trees were cut or died of disease. These plantings are crucial for having clean water. It will improve water quality through regulating water temperature by providing shade to the river. Your tree planting will also reduce erosion of the stream banks and stabilize them. Both these factors will help improve water quality as well as improve habitat for fish and other river life.
