PLEASE NOTE: Specific planting project information can be viewed by clicking on a state or country below that is in green. Also, the forest, state, province, country, etc. will be noted on the certificate. The recipient will then know the location of their tree planting.
The Gifted Tree works with well-established, non-profit tree planting partners on six continents around the world to ensure your tree is planted as promised. Your gift tree is planted by our tree experts at the ideal time to ensure long-term survivability. Tree species are carefully selected by our onsite arborist based on what’s best for each location. While there is no plaque or marker onsite and visiting the tree is not possible, your recipient can opt-in for a virtual visit which provides them with a description of the project and a link to virtually view the general area where the gift tree is planted, via Bing Earth maps. Information is included as part of the tribute packet. You can also click on the location below to get the same information. Whether it is replanting in forests devastated by fires and or disease, or to help reforest communities that have been negatively affected by climate change, you can be sure that your gift tree will make a positive impact somewhere on the planet.
Click on a location below to get details on the tree planting project in that location and a link to Bing earth map to virtually view (best viewed on a PC and not a mobile devise) the general area of the tree planting project. If they all sound like beneficial projects and you cannot decide, no problem; there is a space on the order page for you to select to have us plant your gift tree in the project that is currently in the most need of trees. Please understand that the planting projects are fluid and sometimes the planting locations will change within the state or country. Even though the planting project descriptions might be slightly different, and we try to keep current, the exact planting location will be noted on the tribute certificate. Thank you for your understanding.
The Gifted Tree also has a tree planting charity donation program — “Trees for a Cause”. Plant your gift tree in one of our charity partners’ “Giving Groves” and a part of your purchase price will be donated directly to that charity to help fund its programs. CLICK HERE to learn more.

No matter which tree planting project you choose, rest assured, as mentioned above, that we are working with well-established tree planting partners who have been doing this work for years and have foresters on location. You can be confident that your gift tree will be planted as requested. Some of us at The Gifted Tree have even personally visited some of the tree planting sites, and we will continue to make and expand our visits.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Your tree is planted among thousands of other gift trees and there is no plaque designating your gift tree, and visiting the tree(s) is not possible. Our planting partners select and plant trees native to the specific area and the species type will vary depending on what is best for that location in the world.
- If known, the types of trees planted in a specific project are outlined in the project description, but please understand that you are not able to choose a specific type of tree.
- The trees will be planted at the best suitable planting time for each project, which is typically in their spring or fall.
All of the above is being done to ensure long-term survival of the trees and to accomplish the goals of the project.
Finally, an exciting result of advanced technology, a virtual “visit” to the tree planting area is now possible. If the gift recipient chooses to opt-in to this option, we will email them a description of the tree planting project along with a link to Bing Earth maps (not available for all projects). One click on the computer and they will be able to virtually visit the general area where their gift tree is planted!
